backlinks with right text wrong meaning still valuable damaging

so i will use this example
when searching for backlink opportunities for keywords "ceiling texture" meaning drywall.
I find pages about ceiling texture that might be about a wooden ceiling or metal texture ceiling.
both have nothing to do with my site but the words ceiling texture are still present.

Is this positive backlink or waste of time and hurtful to my site?

well after researching around on this forum some more i am actually scared to build links like this. lol.

I have decided to not worry about link building for now.

would still like some input on this subject though. but i think this may be bad idea.

 

IF the content on the sites is not relevant to yours, it won't help much.
