@chechogr you wrote, So one blogger blog will not help me much? Should I do several linking A to B, B to C, C to D and then finally D to my site? That is still only one blog pointing to your site, right? The final "D"... What is the purpose of those A and B and C blogs? Are you trying to rank those blogs? The "real" method is that all "A and B and C and D", all should link to your main site. Now this is 4 links to your site.
@Oso Optimized You are making "assumptions", and ignoring what google really shows. If a page has "no value" as you say, then how is it showing in "site:domain.com" results for that site? Google not only indexed that page, but will reindex it also when you update it. And you are saying that a link on this page is not considered link!!! You come out of your "assumption" forums and learn something "real". Google still uses page rank, is also mere assumption of yours, and if you ask me, its also false now, since after September 2020 update of google. Since September 2020, I am seeing really really new sites ranking higher than sites which are known to have had very high page ranks. A 5 month old site with just 25 links cannot have a page rank anywhere close to a 10 year old site with thousands of backlinks. But these 5 month old sites are ranking higher since sep 2020. So you saying that google is still using page rank is pure crap.
You're just not getting out there enough... I read posts @ SE Land & SE Roundtable everyday and they have expressed similar beliefs. Do you really think Google just took links out of the equation when they stopped updating PR? Nothing changed.
@Oso Optimized Are you "not understanding" or "not reading", which one is it? You are the one saying that links from google indexed pages are not considered backlinks. I am "saying" that those links are worth and google considers them backlinks. And now you are asking me, " Do you really think Google just took links out of the equation..." You are also believing that google is still using page rank. And I am telling you again, I am seeing 5 month old, new websites ranking on top, with NIL amount of backlinks. Obviously these websites have no Page rank. Who will I believe? The results I am seeing on google, or Posts by random people like you on SE and SM sites? Its you who "needs" to start seeing "actual" results, and not "assumed" theories...
I just made a new blog post yesterday on Blogger and updated some of the content within the postings. I have been getting referrals/backlinks from both Twitter and Digital Point to my personal blog on Blogger. It does involve effort and putting yourself out there. It seems my member page here on Digital Point is the top referring link to my blog on Blogger. My blogger is purely self-promotion in web space.
You aren't reading my posts, or you are projecting your own meaning upon my words. I never said links on indexed pages aren't considered backlinks. I'm traveling, or I'd look it up. But I believe Barry Schwartz just made a post about the subject of PR just a few weeks ago.
@Oso Optimized I honestly do not care what Barry said or did not said, the results on google are not matching whatever he said. In your first comment in this thread you said, You like using blogger for backlink building, but plan of original threadsstarter is of no use. When he asked why, you said, Google will not even index duplicate content. Then you said, in the same comment, in the same sentence, Sometimes google will rank duplicate content higher than original article... Then original person asked you again, Will links from blogger do any good? You replied, No they will not, all inbound links are not of use. Then you started talking about page rank etc etc... The original thread starter is "specifically" asking about blogger links, not just any link from some FFA site. All blogger pages are indexed by google, even the worst ones can be seen in search results. And you are saying these links are of no value... One such crap is ranking higher than my website right now. This one is giving away my product for free, but fortunately their link is broken, and simply redirects people to "ads" which pay that blogger... They have built a whole blog around this, giving away many other people's things for free, but all links are broken, made so that clicks get that blogger money. This crap blog is the top result on google for many terms...(Download {product name} free) Google is even ranking such crap from blogger, and you are telling people that links from blogger are of not much use... Good going! Barry will be very proud of you!!!
I don't why you keep imagining things and putting words into my mouth. I've always thought Blogger links are great and regularly use them. But I don't have any more time for this, I am traveling and have websites to optimize.
@Oso Optimized Nobody's putting words in your mouth, just scroll up and read the first 10 comments in this post. These are the things you said. If you do not have time, then no need to continue replying here. But you cannot say something first, deny saying when asked for clarification, accuse me of falsifying things, and expect me not to reply, not going to happen.
Just pay someone 5 or 10 bucks to write you a 1000 article and you won't have to stress over creating content. Hire someone to do that for you and then post it on blogger. Create the backlinks. Problem solved.
Don't copy the same content from your main page. Doing that will hurt your rank as google will see it twice on two different pages. I would suggest writing your own content on the blogger blog and just write 200-300 word posts with good title keywords and longtail keywords in the posts. Doing this on a daily basis will start to form traffic.
Since Google owns blogger. I personally thing it crawls blogger blogs more often than regular websites. The blogger blogs have always ranked very well (with decent content of course). Back in the day they used to call this a blogging network or blogging strategy (can't remember the real name). I would think this would work very well still and really doesn't take a lot of time to set things up. Just make sure your content is not being copied from each blog and that each blog has original content.
Can you tell me why you are doing this? Does it have to do with the originality of content? I have this sight I am working on, SoftwareKeep, and I want to generate more backlinks. What is your best strategy?
