Hi guys, I am just wondering if there's any benefit of that. let's say your domain name isn't any key terms that you are targeting. and let's forget about the traffic you get from those backlinks. ok? only for the purpose of SERPs, if you have tons of backlinks which their anchor texts are just your domain name, would it help the SERPs of other keywords OVERALL?
Also, I am wondering if you have tons of "sexy lingerie sale" being anchor text, do you gain any weight if people search for "sexy lingerie" or "sexy sale" or "lingerie sale"? from my "testing" (not that scientific at all) "sexy lingerie sale" does some good for those terms, however, by how much?
Well just think of this, how often does wikipedia show up for some searches? for some its on top because of strong links but we are talking about millions here... and usually if there is some serious competition for that keyword then you are usually out of the game... So to answer your question, yes it does help, but not a lot... I think it helps if the competition for the keyword is low but if its high then it doesnt help much... but it still helps... a tiny bit i would say...
Yeah it obviously helps in some cases. suppose i have a site which is about blogging and the blog's name is thebloggerclassroom.blogspot.com , so if i anchor text the site as blogger tutorials , then it obviously helps because blogger is a keywords and the keyword is in my blog's title.Good For SEO and SERP for that keyword. hope it helped
