Backlinks updated this morning

    Just noticed that our backlinks updated in Google today. PR update a few days ago and backlinks updated today, I have a hunch Caffeine is just around the corner.

    Of course he didn't play by the rules. If you don't play by the rules - you get banned.


    Besides, I think the backlinks are updated very frequently. If I recall correctly, they get updated at least once every week.

    590 backlinks is pretty good, unless they're all sitewide text links on irrelevant blogs. I have about 1500 backlinks to one of my websites! *dancing*

    Banned ? how ? that's new to me. I have never get my site banned, only to disappear for a while then reappear.

    There are only dancing and sandboxing. If you keep building backlinks it will reappear in SERP.

    ya PR as well as backlinks are updated, its showing 10 backlinks of mine now while yahoo is showing 700, but showing fine in web master tool.

    By 'banned' you mean adsense account closed or your website placed in the 'sandbox' and not displayed in your search results anymore?

    My backlinks are also updated due to google caffeine update.

    I have seen a strange pattern in backlink crawling by google after the caffeine revamping. Google is giving more advantage to the links that are coming out of the social media sphere.

    Has anyone seen indications of a wider roll out of caffeine? It makes sense that it would follow the PR update.
