Which is the best tool to check number of backlinks of a site.

 

if your going to check your own sites , use google webserver tools. If not use yahoo site explorer.

 

Yahoo Site explorer is better to check backlinks.

the first one shows the best back-links where as the second one shows all the back-links you have

 

Thanks venkat. iwb is really good, otherwise most of the tool shows only numbers of links/pages.

 

I use Data Doctor's Back Link Checker from www.ddipro.com
It does the job.

 

I would use the google webmaster tool to do this, but you need to create a free account

 

I usually just use the tool backlinkwatch

The best i have been used is seoinsites site strength indicator and seo quake.

 

I prefer Google Webmaster Tools.

 

I use 2 tools in checking my backlinks. These are yahoo site explorer and backlinkwatch.com

 

But its not free..

 

It is too slow.

It's riddled with ads for other stuff, but the basic functionality's brilliant.
