Backlinks showing up

    Hi, how long does it take or how regularly does Google update the number of backlinks to a site, for example if you check and you have 2000 and since then many more have been approved, yet Google is still showing the 2000.

    Google never shows the actual number of backlinks. Yahoo would give you a much more realistic picture.

    Hi, ye they haven't increased in Yahoo either?
    It is still showing the same as it was before the last approvals

    It takes time to see your new backlinks, for example 2-3 weeks (I think) to see them on Yahoo. On Google you will not see any new backlinks until next PR and BL update unless you are checking in Google Webmaster Tools.

    Google keep updating its backlinks everyday, but will not show to you until the next pr update. Yahoo shows the actual backlinks to visitors.

    If you want to see actual backlinks of a website. Use google webmaster tool or yahoo to check actual backlinks.
