I am not really sure how that occurred. I've been doing that before but google never removed it for the search queries.... I will keep you posted once I got effective solutions to your problems.. Try asking search engine guru's.. :)

Google will not remove any backlinks unless you are spamming..
so it may be possible that google is updating their data..
so wait patiently and see if it changes..
if not you need to work again on backlinks.

If that blog is yours there is no need to remove back links of your site for google. Try to insert some links again and see what will happen.

Hi friends, it's a very common problem we all are facing. Google just tracks the good and relevant pages from where your site getting links then only those pages considered as backlink..Otherwise it doesn't shows.

    Hi friend,

It is widely noted that after the new PR updates google reduced the number of back links shown. To check the actual situation please log on to your web master tools.

Please note that the backlinks shown at Google as output from the LINK: operator as well as in Webmaster Tools are only a SAMPLE of your backlinks. They RARELY show you all of the backlinks they know about. They also throw in NOFOLLOW links and links from pages known to be under penalty, both of which do not count in their algo as a valid backlink. They don't want you to know which links they are counting.

If the pages on your blog are indexed and they link to pages on your site that are indexed then they are more than likely being counted unless the blog pages are under some type of penalty which I doubt unless you've done something wrong.

Just know that you cannot depend on LINK: or WMT to know your backlinks at Google. It's that way by design.
