Backlinks reduced !

My site's backlinks through link command in google gives 350 urls and a friend sitting in US is getting 64 using the same command.
Why does this happens ? Are the results coming from differnet data centers ?

Also, my backlinks have reduced from 444 to 350 within 2 months ? what's the reason can be ? Is this something to be scared of ?

 

If you want to know how many backlinks you have use Google Webmaster Tools. The link: operator is inaccurate.

Have you checked your link partners? Do they still have your link on their sites?

There is a backlink update going on , maybe this can be the reason check them on this datacenter.This won't give you the reason but the situation.

agreed. Not all the crawlers will have the same information at the same time.

 

I used seo elite to check backlink and i have backlinks but when i check in google on command "link:www.xxx.com" it's 0 backlink. What's happen?
