Hi Guys, I have been doing SEO for my website from long time and I have used most of the top relevant forums for building back links, my concentration was always to get relevant and niche back links for my website. Now after a year most of the top forums are used and want to know can I continue with irrelevant forums for building links ie; for Small Business Portal can I use SEO related forums. Please also suggest some of the other off Page activities which will help me to get natural quality links.
Hi heenakapoor, I would recommend staying within your niche when it comes to building backlinks through forums. Google only recommends getting linked from relevant sites. It may not hurt your site considerably if you post on irrelevant sites, but you are missing the primary point of building backlinks: To get real people to click on those links and go to your site. Yes a backlink might slightly help your site in the search engines, but the real power comes from attracting real people who might be interested in your content. Remember that there are many other ways to build backlinks such as social bookmarking, posting articles on directories and guest blogging. Instead of straying away from your niche, venture into some other backlink building techniques. Besides, the methods that I just mentioned tend to be more powerful than posting on forums. Good luck!
Backlinks bring traffic to site and take the profitability ratio of a business to new heights through high ranking in search engine listings.
Backlinks quality is best defined by the following qualities: relevance of source site to your site .gov and .edu backlinks keywords relevance Authority of source website there's definitely more so you'll need to do some more research.
As i know, link quality depends on some factor. It is depends on High page rank, link from relevant site, good content, good traffic etc. Thanks Farabi
Using non related backlinks no longer holds any impact from the major search engines. Relevant linking to related articles on high pr sites works and works well. I'll be opening a service for this very soon that gets results needed quickly.
how do you determine what is considered relevant when it comes to forums though... lots of forums seem very broad to me... does this penalize or hurt the relative factor for the forum back links?
Diverse your links. Not just on text anchor but you can also use image-based links pointing to your site. The hardest part on this is on how and where to get site partners.
For off-page seo, you should choose some right keywords for your site/blog. To choose right keywords you can use Google Adwords Research Tools. You have choose a right tittle tag and also a good meta description. hope this will help you to get a good page rank. Thanks Farabi
Always get relevant back links and submit some unique articles to sites which has high page rank and .edu, .gov back links are useful.
Have you tried guest posting? Although its just another backlink but it can also drive traffic to your site, which I believe is your main goal.
