Backlinks Problem Help

    I made a website on some keyword with medium competition 1 month ago.In just 1 month I got 4000+ High quality backlinks(shown by google webmasters tools) from various websites.Still my website is not ranked anywhere for the keyword.
    Do I have to wait for some more time.
    My website is thefunnycommercials.com
    I am targetting "Funny Commercials"
    Or there is some problem like keyword spamming or something like that.

    You've to give us more info. Whats your domain name? what keyword are you targetting? How did you get your backlinks?
    Did you use that keyword in the anchor text of the links? Do you have that keyword in the domain name?

    You have to wait, but there will be a problem of sorts. 4000 backlinks in 1 month does not happen naturally. You will be penalized by Google for purchasing links or resorting to link farm-type schemes.

    You know, It isn't just that they haven't ranked some sites, it seems to me they haven't updated their backlinks. I know I actually have around 8,000 backlinks (or maybe more), from the last 1.5 months. But google counts 1820 on webmaster tools, and zero on the search. If you look below you will see how erratic it really is.

    1 AllTheWeb: 2,900

    Now I have just got to get this site promoted somehow... :)

    It is not about the backlinks, try to organize your keywords and use a strategy

    Hey, Google just updated my Backlinks... not the public ones... but it went from 1821 to over 5000 today. They are getting closer at least:)
