backlinks or back links

    I'm a tad confused about the spelling of backlinks, is there a space between the words or not?

    Overture says:
    backlinks searched 374 times
    back links searched 673 times

    might as well try to target both. Depending on the ratio of searches to results, you may find that targeting one opposed to the other might be more worth yoru time.

    Both mean the same thing. I however prefer saying 'backlinks'.
