Screening takes less than a day per article. Your articles probably haven't been submitted, suggest you open a support ticket.

I know $5 isn't much money but why should I pay it when I can submit to Ezine Articles for free?

I would rather spend the 5 bucks getting a few distribution credits on Isnare as I seem to get a decent amount of links for every article I put out on their system.

    Kind regards,
    Anthony

Good question. The problem is that you're comparing apples and oranges, Ezine Articles is a human-edited article directory who make editorial decisions and have various limitations to minimize spam, whereas Qondio is a fully automated system that uses crowdsourced screening, site authentication, and the activation fee to cut out spam.

I had a perfectly good article - if I do say so myself - rejected by Ezine Articles on the grounds that the link in the author bio "didn't have any useful information" - which is insane because the said link pointed to the front page of my website, which doesn't have any advertising and which does indeed have useful information. This whole process took several days. That sort of thing wouldn't happen at Qondio.

At Qondio, you need to authenticate your website, but that's automated. When you submit your article it takes a few hours to a day to get published, depending on whether other users feel inclined to screen your article, and on how active the site is (weekends are slower). There is no limit to the articles you can submit.

I'm not trying to convince you that Qondio is better than Ezine Articles. What I'm saying is that Qondio isn't Ezine Articles with a $5 fee. It's something completely different and you can't compare the two.

To be fair I just had an article rejected for 'promoting a product or service' which frustrated me because it was an overview of the features and benefits of SEO quake, a free SEO tool.

I guess they could say I was promoting SEO Quake, but i'm not a very good marketeer if I go around promoting things that don't make any money! :)

I personally think there is no need to complain about article rejection on such sites where the approval process is member-driven - this is a smart process and better then anything too subjective, when just an editor decides if the article is good to go or not or if it's decided by some algorithm, which has proven to be easily tricked looking at some sites with that kind of model. I also think it would be cool for qondio to add some system where the submitter knows exactly why it was rejected and could work on the article to get rid of that or those reasons. This can be just a field in the "screening" process to fill in where those who judge are obliged to state a reason for the decision. Again, these are just my thoughts.

I use Qondio as part of my traffic strategy. It is good to throw up some intel every now and again and a few of my intels (articles) have got PR4, which is a great way to backlink to my sites
