Backlinks not increasing!

hey all,

I bought a domain a couple of weeks back and working on the backlinks regularly. I have been adding blogroll links and waiting for reciprocal links. The other sites are adding me , but there is no incraease in count. I have recently begun with article submission in directories. Can anyone pl tel me why my backlinks is not increasing?
Does it take time for backlinks to be cached on other so that it increases?

how do you check your backlinks?

 

i use backlinkwatch or any other free backlink checker online tool.. is that wrong?

 

I am giving you a small suggestion . Add your site to Google Webmaster Account,wait for few weeks and then try to see links inside your webmaster account .

If you are just recently building your backlink, please allow and give the time to it indexed and get the changes.

 

Yahoo explorer is another good place to check backlinks.

 

try with webmasters tool. Of course it will show your link

 

actually backlinkwatch take links from yahoo explorer

 

Wait for crawling the site then it shows the backlinks of your site
