    Hi everyone,

I've spent the last few months promoting my sites, www.bangkokdiaries.com + www.sexythais.info and I know I have quite a few backlinks coming in. Why then, when I use backlink checking tools, do I get 0 results on Google, but I get many results on Yahoo?

www.bangkokdiaries.com also appears on the Blogroll of many well known sites in my sites niche. Yet this seems to not be noticed by the "Big G"

Don't care about what that what Google is showing to you. They know your backlinks, they just don't list it there...

Most tools seldom list the Google backlinks correctly and often times they do not list them at all. If you are getting traffic from the backlinks, do not worry about what the tools say.

Google does not always show all your backlinks, or the refresh is very slow. For better results you can use Yahoo ( site:www.yoursite.com ). It is more accurate regarding backlinks.

    Thanks guys,

Yes, I am getting traffic from the backlinks. I was just worried as the tools report backlinks for my competitors but none for me.

Yup, its normal. Google does consider the backlinks at the back end when calculating the SERP.

    Hi Norrad,

There is one more way to check your backlink on Google index and that is a simple link command with a liitle trick.

Though it will not as correct as webmasters but still good against link:site

    here:
I think most of the people not familiar with this fact but goolge not showing all links for your site. It will gives you only those sites which are regularly updated..

Just check your links again with above command

    Thanks
    Rishab

    Check Yahoo.

Everyone will tell you that google will not show you everything they know about your website.

Beside- it takes time to refresh the cache...
