If you have a 3 word keyword phrase that you want to optimize your page for, and you are trying to get backlinks on blogs, does it matter much if you are only able to use 2 out of your 3 words in your keyword phrase in the anchor text?

I usually only get to put 2 out of 3 of my words (for my keyword phrase) as my "name" when posting to blogs. This is becuase alot of times, the blog automatically blocks out one of the words (spam protection), and then the comment will just automatically get deleted instantly, and never appears on the site.

Here is an example of what I mean: Say my phrase is "energizer AAA batteries", but the blog automatically sees the term "energizer" as a "spam keyword", so I can't post my whole phrase in the anchor text (er I mean "name", heh heh). So at this point I can only enter "AAA batteries" as my "name" (anchor text). Do I still get decent credit for the backlink, since I used 2 out of the 3 words that make up my keyword phrase????????

well my experience with the SEO says YES. though you can't get the advantage of using all the three keywords but the two out of them adds value to your rankings but temporarily. first of all blog comment helps if they are dofollow. moreover, those comments vanish within few days as new postings appear on the blog even if it is dofollow

If you are targeting a 3 word KeyPhrase, use that 3 word KeyPhrase always.
    But....
If you are using a 2 word KeyPhrase, use that 2 word KeyPhrase always; and you can extend it up to 3 word Key Phrase.

    Example:

    Target KP: buy soma
KP to Use: buy soma, buy soma online
