When Google is considering backlinks for Pr/ranking - does it count all the backlinks from every single page or only one backlink per domain/blog? For example, my blog is one someone's blogroll that shows up on every page. blog.com/awesome_post_here blog.com/you_know_thats_hot blog.com/heck_yeah_baby Will google count that as 3 backlinks or 1? Also, if each of those pages has their own PR, will that pass on to me? Or just the domain's overall PR? Just curious because sites like backlinkwatch will list hundreds of backlinks, and a lot of those are from the same domains but different pages (because I'm on blogroll). And some of the posts have PRs and some don't. Just wanted to know how much will affect me.
They will be counted as separate backlinks.. however, Google seems to devalue the links if they come from the same domain..
I guess we would never know exactly how google count the number of backlinks and the value from these backlinks. it probably will count all 3 pages, but the additional value from the other 2 pages would be smaller than the backlink from the homepage.
I think this is true as well. Also, it would probably NOT be good if only one or a few of the pages are relevant to your backlinked page. You want backlinks from pages related to your page. If the site wide backlinks only have a few pages with related content, then it could actually be worse.
