Backlinks getting updated?

About 2/3rds of my websites are now showing an increased number of backlinks in google.

It appears to me that google is updating their backlinks in anticipation of the PR update in a couple of weeks.

 

Ive noticed an increase too.... not a lot mind you but an increase

 

i havent receive any change yet. all my sites still same values.

 

small decrease here - means - something happend.

 

I got 0 Backlinks .

 

no change is there on my web site while I have done lot of directory submission for my sites.

 

Haven't noticed increased backlinks in google. But increased indexed pages in google. A lot more. 500% increased in the past month. It could be the result of increased backlinks.

 

nope, i haven't noticed any update yet.

 

Using Mcdar, which does a multi-dc check, I don't see any differences. Do you happen to know of a DC showing changes? If you see changes still on Google.com, the ping it in a dos window, copy the ip address it resolves to into your browser, and do the link: command on that IP. If it still shows changes then pls post the IP here, thanks.

Also, a backlink update isn't in "preparation" of anything, it is it's own entity. Seeing one does not mean a PR update is coming (although they can happen at the same time).

The tool I normally use to check my backlins is at

I'm not sure how to check the datacenter it's hitting.

I'll dig around some more and see if I can figure out what datacenters are showing updated backlinks.

 

Are you talking about you entered in the url on the homepage, and the number that comes up labeled "Total Backlinks" in the table that first appears?

well, i have notice, some backlinks decrease of my site. ummm
not sure yet, lets wait few more days

 

I entered the URL on the homepage, and the number of total backlinks in the table that first appears has increased. Below that,in the links that are listed with PR, there are some new inbound links that I aquired recently that have not been displayed previously.

I typically track how many backlinks, and what the links are using this tool, becuase I can quickly see my inbound links with good PR. for the last several weeks the number of links, and the links that were displayed have been exactly the same with no change. Today, several of my sites have a higher number, and some new links are displayed below that.

 

Bro, that's not Google backlinks. Google backlinks are when you type link:www.somewebsite.com into the Google search box, and a list of backlinks that Google feels like showing you get displayed.

The number in that little box is Google + Yahoo + MSN backlinks. Those will change damn near every day, as you get new links. The reason that Google backlink updates are news is because they only get updated every so often, less than 3 or 4 times a year usually.

Yes I too notice a change. I guess this is because of the google update

 

I have noticed a previous old number of backlinks for a long-time now.

 

I have around 40 backlinks.

 

i have not noticed any changes as of yet

 

I don't find any change in backlinks
