    Hello all,

I have a question. Obviously I know that if the site linking back to you is of a decent standard and relevance to the anchor text linking to your site that the link will count towards your importance in search engines.

However in Joomla for example in its link directory feature the URL of the site is distorted. Say I add a link to my Joomla link directory for "Site Name" at "www.sitename.com" when I mouse over that link instead of showing http://www.sitename.com it would show something like this:-

    http://www.examplesite.com/index.ph...d=10:link-title&option=com_weblinks&Itemid=58

What I want to know, with this kind of set up, does Google still know that the link points to www.sitename.com and have it count towards that sites weight with search engines?

Please let me know, any feedback appreciated.

    Best regards

    Luke
