Hi, If you have a directory which primarily lists English sites only, does it help to get backlinks from non-English sites? What's your link building strategy with non-English sites? Thanks,
I do not see how this can be a prob. I have seen dozens of site that have links from non english sites. I think that as long as the link is still revelant it should not matter, but I could wrong about that, again I have not seen this hurt any site.
I think it’s even good to have links from different country ip’s and different languagues gives a more international backlink structure.
I believe that diversity in links for directories (language, countries, themes etc) is helpful in most cases.
Ok, looks like backlink development for directories should not be limited by content languages. Thanks for your comments.
Thanks for the pointer, Jeff. So what's the implcation of Google making a mistake inferring site language due to non-English backlinks? Does that means the directory in question may be able to rank higher in regional Google, and/or it may get lower SERP in English search keywords?
