Hi all, What is the difference between a backlink from google and a backlink from yahoo? Will google ever rank you high if you just have Yahoo links? Does google rank you high based on the amount and quality of "google links" only? Thanks
That's a bit of a bizarre question - there's no such thing as google backlinks or yahoo backlinks. Each search engine crawls the web and finds the places that have backlinked to you - yahoo is more generous in telling you what it's found for all sites - google will only tell you your own backlinks in Webmaster Tools. If one or other search engine hasn't found a backlink - then that's it, it won't count it until it's crawled where the link is.
magda said right. There is no meaning of Google or Yahoo backlink. However, if you see, that a certain backlink to your website is shown on yahoo, not on google, this is because, the backlinking page is not indexed (or followed) by Google Bot still now.
