Backlinks from free blog hosts such as blogspot, easyjournal??

i am looking for ways to increase my backlinks

i use squidoo and hubpages but im llooking for more areas

not a huge fan of article sites as i prefer a community approach to marketing and getting well known on a site

so ive been looking at making a few new blogs with new article relating to my subject and linking to my site

little bit of a list here

lots of people do this, the main thing is that your links need to be from do follow blogs

 

Yes, this works for sure. Blogger blogs are the best choice for me. cause they get indexed very quickly and gain PR as well. Running 5 blogs relating to my websites. pretty good back links i get from em..

most blog hosts are do follow its just the comments that are no follow so that wont be a problem

 

post relevant comments on dofollow blogs... it will help a lot

Yeah, this definitely works. Google loves to rank Blogger blogs and the others as well. Problem is, setting up multiple blogs can be a log of work to set up and maintain manually. You need to find ways to keep your blogs updated as quickly & easily as possible to keep the content fresh so they don't disappear into the land of forgotten blogs.

What about wordpress.com blogs? Don't they rank well in Google like blogspot blogs?

Also, I think I've heard somewhere that backlinks from blogspot and wordpress.com free blogs have little or no value, as these are free blogs and are often used to generate spammy content. Is that true?
