Backlinks from Content-Less Pages

    If you get a backlink, and lets say its the only link on the page, but there's no surrounding text or textual content (except your backlink). This could happen If you were to social bookmark your website link, but have no description.


    Do YOU believe this link still has value (particularily if you use Proper ANCHOR text and the Title of the Page contains your keywords)

    Or do you believe its completely necessary for there to be a paragraph of related style text?

    There is still value in such a link. A lot depends on the site giving the link as to the value.

    ofcourse it has value .and if you use proper anchor text it's better

    As far as you have a proper anchor text you will be fine.
    Why can't you add a brief description for best results? It's well worth it :)
