backlinks from classifieds sites?

    have you guys worked on classifieds sites? does they provide backlinks or used only for traffic purpose??

    Never go for such useless links, classifieds are not made for link building and usually your link stays for a short time and then removed.Instead of this try blog comments and forums.

    Yes we gave them a try around 18 months ago and we saw no visible difference by using them.

    I use it just for traffic and perhaps if you can put link in their homepage and pay them for that that's ok

    I run a classifieds site and get spammed by people all the time. I don't allow HTML or linking in the ads. Have disabled the feature in the user profiles and permanently ban the IP addresses of those that continually try it as well as submit a spam complaint to the ISP in question just to add a headache for the user who tried it.
