How long does it take search engines yahoo and google to monitor backlinks from blogs with a high PR under the comments section . I really mean High PR such as PR5 and above
I am giving the information about Google PR update 12.01.2008 — duration of 76 days 27.10.2007 — duration of 180 days 30.04.2007 — duration of 97 days 25.01.2007 — duration of 15 days 10.01.2007 — duration of 104 days 28.09.2006 — duration of 77 days 13.07.2006 — duration of 100 days 04.04.2006 — duration of 45 days 18.02.2006 — duration of 122 days 19.10.2005 — duration of 97 days 14.07.2005 — duration of 83 days 22.04.2005 — duration of 111 days while yahoo updates backlinks from time to time.
I was under the impression that these back links were no-follow and hence no use towards PR? Personally I only comment if I really enjoyed a post and have something to contribute to the discussion. I flat out hate getting comments on my blogs that are just obviously trying to get some traffic off my back. That said I think this feeling comes with time as a webmaster, at first you google stuff like "need more traffic" etc and see that comments are a plus and so, leave a spam guised as a compliment, I have done it. But live and learn, once I started getting deeper into the world of the web, and gaining more and more interest in becoming established and good at authoring, my focus shifted away from quick buzz promoting and into quality promotions. yada yada yada, I have a tendency to waft! So does anybody know if they are no-follow or not?
i mean will commenting on blogs having a high PR increase the postioons in search enginge i am not talking about PR but about The positions in google search engine and how long can that take?!! the POSITONS NOT THE PR
Certainly does appear to be that way by looking at the list and that April appears each year! So in the next 29 days !!!!!!!!!!!!
how does google update the backlinks from blogs, is it possible. I haerd that comments on wordpress are nofollow.
i had placed a link on a PR3 blog and now the cached page of that blog is shown by google and that means google has monitored my link on that page.isn't it? nut still i don't get any higher positons it is still the same rather it seems that it has gone down instead why is that?
frahajr, If your link is visible in the Google cache, you can be almost certain that is has been registered. I write "almost" since the googlebot won't always follow all links, if a page contains more than about a 100 links. With regards to your rankings, you can't expect a single blog comment to propel your site to stardom instantly. You need to get more links and work on the content of your own site as well.
SERP'S change daily which is proof that links are monitored each day. Whether or not there is a delay between links and SERPs thats debatable. (Like if you built 1000 links today they may not show an effect for a while because the system lags a bit. ---< just a theory.)
so after adding so many backlinks to blogs those which have a high PR ; then how long more do i have to wait for my website to get higher positions! tell me!
