Backlinks from article marketing...

I heard something about .....that if you want to use backlinks from article marketing, is best to not submit yr article to more than 5 article directories.....and I want to know if it is true.....and if it is ....why is that so? Why not more than 5?

Also I`m using for the moment backlinks from ezine, articleheaven and thefreelibrary.....and I`m very satisfied with the backlinks I get from them.....they get indexed rather quickly and I get the backlinks from most of the articles I`m submitting. And I want to use 2 more big directories for my backlinks....if that ...up to 5 directories rule is true. But all the other big directories that I`ve tried to use (goarticles, articlebase, articledashboard) doesn`t show all the backlinks that it should from my articles. I mean I`m submitting 10 articles to them and I get backlinks only from 1 or 2 maybe. So what`s the catch? The backlinks will appear later or they are not as reliable as the first 3 I`m using?

And if you know other big directories that you have used and know for sure that if I submit to them 10 articles .....I`ll get the backlinks from most of them...pls share.

I would appreciate some useful answers pls. Thank you!

I recommend that you submit a unique article to each directory, and rewrite it completely for any other directory If it gets rejected for any reason, you can submit the same version to another article site. The reason is that Google values only unique content: if the same article exists on multiple sites and Google can see it, only one site and one backlink will count.

There is no harm in submitting to more than 5 articles,10,20,30....It is up to you. Have you heard about software which submits to lots of article directories like Unique Article Wizard?

You can even use Squidoo, Weebly, Hubpages.

Since the purpose of article directories is to get as many people to download your articles as possible, I really dont see why the article should appear in 5 directories only. If 10 from Eza upload your articles with links to their website, and 20 from articleheaven do the same, you will have 32 links as a result of posting to these 2 directories

I'd suggest making a few spins and submitting it.

It is good to submit in Ezine and then spin article and post to other directories as mush as possible. Nothing bad with it to submit article to as many directories as you want

You can submit a article to many directories but 1 article to 1 directory and post unique article every time.

Hi friends, I better like to submit article on web 2.0 sites rather than submit article on article directories. Web 2.0 sites have good PR and if we continue submitting article on those sites then we can get some quality link from there.

Submitting the same article to a ton of different article directories is a waste of time and effort. Google is going to take the first submission and bury the rest along with the link credit.

The backlinks from these directories don't count for that much except maybe EZA, Goarticles, Articlebase, etc.

I use 5 to 7 of them for referral traffic - and sometimes they are copies.

The idea here is that variety is the spice of life. Google loves things to appear natural, so if you were to go and submit to say, 200 article directories, Google is going to see that, and it aint going to look natural at all.

The key to earning backlinks in general is to have variety. Links from article marketing, blog comments, guest blogging, directory submission, etc. Try and break things up a bit, and Google will love you for it. :)
