Backlinks for SEO

Should you have backlinks to your site only in the same industry/niche? Or is it ok to have backlinks in different industries/niche? Don't want my rankings or seo to be affected if the links I reciprocate are not relevant to my site.

Back link is very important for an SEO. Backlink mean trust how much google trust on your website so it is important to a website a good page rank. it doesn't matter your site page rank is 4 or 1 but its matter your website have a page rank.

 

Links from different niche is not bad. you can perform comments on different niche blogs, forum promotion etc. But don't consider reciprocal linking from different niche.

 

Back link is very important part for increase the website page ranking and traffics . circumstances of back links .
1. it should be theme based .
2. reciprocal link should be only relevant theme site not to different sites
3. you can perform comment , forums on different niche blogs

 

Yes, it is best to have relevant links but you wont get penalised for having non related links, the more links the better I say. I do SEO work for a few different indutries and I work on all of them at the same time so sometimes they have links from eachothers industries and I've neveer been penalised.

Reciprocal links I only add relevant but blogs, forums etc I use all sorts, well apart from porn, gambling etc

After caffeine updates Google ensures that If your web pages have related or same theme links then they will support to index them in same category of the theme of website otherwise it may goes to wrong category.
For example : - Suppose you have a website with the theme SEO and you will make back links more and more from different themed website it say like from a web site which is themed by pet related like dog,puppy,cat etc then your site will appear on the results for those searches,suppose some buddy searches for Dog then naturally your SEO site will appear for the searches of Dog,So if you do not think that it is harmful any ways then may create link from other themed web sites.

 

It is true that back links from different niche not bad but it is more useful if the back links same niche. I don't have any experience about seo. i want to learn from major sources like this.

I agree with "SEOACCOUNT", Links from different niche doesn't matter, but the reciprocals needs to be from the same niche.

 

getting relavent links is the best way to go ahead, u can also try some high quality non relavent links.

 

Reciprocal link should be relevant industry site. Try to increase quality links which helps to ranking and traffic to your site.

When you lunch a website, you want to be found as soon as possible by visitors. The first step is to be listed in web directories. A well known directory is DMOZ. SE like Google, get the new websites from this directory.

 

I just add backlink on my blog with different niche.....

 

don't reciprocate with non-related sites. linking to unrelated sites might harm your ranking. you can get one way link from them. avoid getting links from adult or casino sites(this you and every one knows)
