Can someone please explain to me why.. yesterday when I checked my backlinks i had 160 and now im down to 59? It was sitting on 160 for a few weeks then after i did a scrapebox run I lost half of my backlinks! Are they gonna come back?

Google does always filter more and more links each time the algo has been adjusted. It is hard to say if those links would come back or not. From my experiences, most of them are not coming back. They have been filtered because of no quality defined by Google algo.

Its fine... Google simply takes a sample of your backlinks. Honestly there is no reason to even monitor it. If you want to check your backlinks use Yahoo Site Explorer.

    Google periodically updates the backlinks..
Don't panic. Just keep track of the backlinks shown in Google Webmaster Tools.

I think that could be true because my web site keeps jumping from one page to another and only like the past 2 days its stable in a new position on page 3
So That's why I keep thinking that there is some kind of update.

I keep getting the same problem. However, I relised that they keep appear and disappear. So, I decided not worry about it that much now. As long as you bild your links gradually and pay attention to your content, it should all be fine eventually.

Follow the webmasters or yahoo site explorer for backlinks, as Google has a tendency to change and innovate some things in their algo. Thatz what they must be doing now.

This always happens. Check it 3 months later to see if the backlinks are back.
