backlinks-average number?

I know this question doesn't have an exact answer, but on average, how many backlinks do sites with say, a PR5, have on average? I know this answer can be VERY variable, but from your expierence, what would you say?

Still not doing any research I see. I doubt anybody has an answer to that question. It depends on so many variables. Have you looked at my article and chart. Or would you just prefer to ask a bunch of questions even though the answers may be available to you with a little reading and research.

And you're saying that I don't try to learn?

 

You can have 1 backlink and get a PR5.
You can probably have tens of thousands of backlinks and not have PR5.
Depends on where you are getting the links.

Bob is just getting fed up with answering the same questions over and over- thats all. It does get tiring seeing the same posts, run a search or two before asking Qs, and he won't yell anymore

 

there is no average.

you could get a PR5 from 1 link, or you could get it from 1,000 links. it depends on the quality of sites that're linking to you.

my guess would be something "typical" would be around 200.

 

pretty exact number, isnt it? you will always have questions like this one and theres no need to be rude in answering. Net is made of answers, so why do we need this forum at all when we are all so clever and already full of all resources we might need?

PR is certainly something puzzling but that chart pretty much reflects the results obtained on the sites I manage.
