Backlinks and PR

    Hello,

    After the Jagger update I espected to have a higher PR on my site, before the update I had 82 backlinks and had PR 4, now google reports 863 Backlinks and PR 4.

    I placed a a link on all parteners/clients page and it is weird that I can't see many of the pages which have a backlink when I search link:www . mysite . com .

    For exemple the pages from client ware indexed in 12 Oct ( ... as retrieved on 12 Oct 2005 13:52:21 GMT ) and on those pages I have a link to my site, but from ~30 pages i only have 3 backlinks reported by google .

    Can somebody explain me what is wrong ?

    huh? Are you saying Google is not reporting all your backlinks? Are those links sitewide?

    Is there a way to filter the results that link:www. mysite . com are dispayed ? I want somehow too see the backlinks from only one site, like inurl:clientsite . com

    too see my website backlinks link:www . sibiul . ro and the client from which I should have more backlinks is www . immo-land . ro (this client site was recently had links structure changed but all the new links are indexed by google , using this query you can see all the new links from just a part of the site : site:www*immo-land*ro -inurl:id= inurl:agentii-imobiliare )

    Replace * with .

    Google only shows a sample of backlinks. You can see more by going to the last page, and clicking on the 'Show omitted results' page. Still, it says 863 and I can only see 164...

    But Google is not done updating. Wait a week or two, others may show up before all this is done. Do not panic yet. Ride this out.

    Also, a search for ' site:www*immo-land*ro sibiul ' should show any you have added the text anchor link to, and pages your site is mentioned on.

    You must remember that could show and most of the time, does show data from a few months back. The bl/pr updates are not current.

    I had a weird situation too. I started with 99 links and PR3, now I have 33 links reported and went up to a PR4.

    this can be because you may have more guality links, with higher PR , some good directories PR6 .. 7 :) than at the beggining when you had more links but maybe with a lower PR.

    Just a tought ;)
