Hi im a noob and im trying to get my site first on google and everyone keeps telling me to backlink? WHAT IS BACKLINKG?? All i know is that you post your site places, but how do you post them on other people websites? Can someone plz help me!
Backlinks are html links that point to your site. basically a click-able link that you place on another website that point back at your site. Use longtail keywords in your anchor text as the keyword you want to rank. If I wanted to rank for the keyword "Blinds", I would better off going for a longer term like "Blue venetian horizontal blinds" Then I use this keyword as the "anchor text" in my link. if you don't know the basics, i suggest instead of reading lots of forum posts that will confuse you, better find some ebook for beggieners so that it would explain you more effecially about the small things, then come back to the forum and read more.
