Hey guys hows tricks? I've been doing some directory submissions for www.sarahspetportraits.co.uk and I'm not getting results I've done over 100 submissions using the Title anchor text for the keywords and creating unique descriptions and titles every time. A few have been approved at least 3 weeks ago and have not yet shown up on yahoos site explorer.. or on google... Does anyone know of any high PR decent directory lists other than www.directorycritic.com that have fast approval times preferably free and should I just submit to normal directories? Please let me know Thanks
yahoo site explorer is getting really slow at indexing new links. I read that they may be phasing it out.
SEO for chrome, extension for chrome browser, or just use http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?&bwm=i&bwmo=d&bwmf=s&p=www.sarahspetportraits.co.uk doing directory submissions wont get you farther, these links on typical directories don't bring much, some are even PR0 backlinks. if you will try to rank for a good keyword these links are worthless, they might only help for some long tail keywords. I would even say when you order a 1000 submissions is the best way just to make sure you did all seo techniques possible, submitting it manually to these low quality dirs is pretty useless. focus more on content, good links, good sites that you can buy monthly/yearly links, it would do you more good.
use other link building methods along with directory submissions. it takes a while to get the approval from the directories and even after getting approved, it takes the search engines some time to find the links as they are often few clicks away from the homepage. dont rely on a single link building method. diversify your link building campaign for better result
This is correct. Directory submission are now of less value and also links are few clicks away from home page so even if they approved, it takes time to get indexed. Along with this method, try other method also like article, forum, comments etc.
Hi Goog, Rather than submitting to old directories, its always good to search for new and quality directories while submitting. Make sure that your website is already submitted to Yahoo Directory and DMOZ. Its is not only enough to submit to relevant directories, and you also go for link building. Unique content is always loved by SEs. Thanks.
Doing directory submission alone can't help you get rank. You should try someting different and beneficial like social and authority backlinks.I also suggest you to try using multiple keyword pharses rather using just a single keyword to rank in Google.
Dir submissions helps to only pass on PR link juice. Beyond that, don't expect much. You'll be lucky if someone clicks on the link in your category. Forget Yahoo siteexplorer. Its defunct. What you can do is perhaps pull out the full URL's to your directory listing and ping those URL's. Its always good to have a few links from directories (besides the usual articles, blog comments).
