As backlinks are a part of SEO, I would like to know whether the backlinks offered by some sites are spam or not.!?

 

Backlins are the links where you do post or shared your links. Quality backlinks are those links that you posted in high reputation site or having quality backlinks because you posted quality and relevant content.

 

You can check your lin quality by mozrank. It shows PA, DA, etc...

I think links to be considered as spam when you post in lot of sites in the short time, it mean that you get lots of backlinks in very short times and your content you post is not relevant to the links

 

If you use an automated software to spam loads of links to your site then that is spam
