Say I have a site that I have built 100 links for in the past but 20 of those links no longer exist due to a number of reasons. Do you think the Google algorithm looks at this "backlink rot" as I call it and deems it unnatural and thus supresses your rankings at all? Would it even be a prelude to an penalty?
