    Is there any difference between the value of backlink from
    • xyz.edu
    • blog.xyz.edu
    • xyz.edu/blog

    I am asking this because commenting on blog.xyz.edu is much easier than that on xyz.edu.;)

    * xyz.edu - would be the best
    * xyz.edu/blog - then this
    * blog.xyz.edu - last would be this one

    I would say that they have the same value unless it contains .edu

    When calculating the value of backlink don't you put pagerank into consideration or it is different with dot edu domain names?

    Ya.But getting a backlink from xyz.edu is almost impossible unless you are prepared to throw some money.
