Backlink from Google

    all of you know about sites.google.com, if I created a page on Sites.google and place my website link on this page. If I got backlink from this page is it treated as backlink from Google?

    Yes, but I have a question here: Does this backlink carry more weightage than a backlink from any other website? Has anyone of you experienced any benefit from having a backlink from Google?

    Well we can't know for sure since Google will never admit to a claim that the links from its server/site have greater value just because it's from them!

    In spite of that though, I doubt it. They wouldn't really have much to gain if they emphasized their links more than others.
