Hey guys, What the best way to get anchor backlinks from .edu forums? Should I get a signature page with the keywords in my anchor texts? Thanks

Yup, and that is the view of Mr. Cutts. At least, that is his public opinion anyways. I agree with him from what I've seen. .EDU's and .Gov's are sought out simply because most of them are very old domains, long registration terms, and massive authority.

Nowadays .edu links are not as powerful as the once were. And even then it was questionable how much value .edu extension used to bring on its own. Since many .edu website got spammed, Google even considered removing the value of .edu links. Concentrate on the quality of the links regardless of extension and you will reap the rewards in due time.

.edu and .gov sites are valuable because Google have the faith in these sites so getting backinks from these sites are always considered good.
