I launched a site about a month ago and have been researching backlink development for the past couple weeks... and dabbling with trying to create some as well. I have a few questions that I'm hoping you can help me with: 1) Is there a basic strategy to follow with a site like Twitter? I'm assuming that acquiring as many "followers" as possible and posting regular updates with good content is about as much as you can do. Is this correct? 2) What are the best sites for posting articles? 3) Should I be posting the same article to multiple sites? Multiple articles to the same site? 4) Do forum/blog comments like "Good info!"... or "Nice post!" add an SEO value to your site? Are these what some call "Spam" posts? 5) Is there a target # of forum/blog comments I should be shooting for? Same question about articles... how many should I try to get out on the web? Just trying to analyze how many I should be aiming to post each day. 6) What is the best way to analyze if I have a realistic chance of competing with the keywords I am using? Is there a general rule that any of you follow as to the competitor analysis that google provides in AdWords? Any insight/info/criticism that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!! Moose77
Yes, this is what you can do...twitter helps you to get high quality backlinks to your site and make your site accessible to thousand of visitors and as popular as you become it will be that good for your site though it may not create much backlinks to your site but there is something called site popularity which you can get by making a large followers to your postings on Twitter...Try to submit more images and video of topica and postings related your site...it will help you a lot You asked whether you should post the same article to many sites or not. No, you cannot do this as because Google will ban your article as it will find the same content in your article submitted to different article directories and Google has developed a duplicate content checker which recognizes duplicate contents quickly and ban them forever....but dont worry. There is a very simple solution to this problem. Just write a single article and get it SPINNED as many times as you want...spinning is done through using software and it changes the content of the article slightly every time though the meaning of the article remains the same

1) Follow people in similar niche and make frequent (not too frequent updates) 2) Ezine articles is the leader in general articles 3) Same article to multiple sites is fine if it is worth spreading (well-written) 4) Forum posting is a great way for direct traffic, branding, marketing, and links. Mostly the first 3 though. Just make sure to add to a conversation or you are wasting your time. 5) Sign up to 5 forums and make 5 posts a day on each one if you are having problems setting goals. 6) Use allinanchor:"YOUR KEYWORD(s)" here...shows how many anchor text links exist for that word or phrase. Extras: Social bookmarking is important as well as directories. Make sure you figure out your Onpage SEO as well...Meta data: titles/description/tags are the the ones you should focus on. Best of luck.

3) Should I be posting the same article to multiple sites? Multiple articles to the same site? I think it`s not too good idea. SE will see it as duplicate content-
