backlink development for e-commerce site.

Hey folks, I am a newbie to internet marketing, and I need some help in getting exposure. My website is www.fashionfavourites.com, and it's an e-commerce website. Can anyone suggest how I can develop backlinks for an e-commerce site.

I did domain submission, a press release article, an article in squidoo managed to get about 9 links but now I am out of ideas. Where to turn next any help? or just point me in a direction and i'll do the research.

have you tried looking up blogs;fashion (or keyword) to find sites where you can place good comments with your url in the end?

 

No I have not but thanks for the suggestion. I thought getting backlinks this method(blog comenting) would have no effect on my site since it's an e-commerce site and contains very little content. I am under the impression that google would only consider a backlink worthy if it comes from similar sites (other e-commerce sites with same products).

So my big question is: will your proposed method work for my situation?

create a blog for your e-commerce site and post related articles.

You could build backlinks through article submission, and from your signature
links here at dp.

 

I would definitely agree with the above two, you wouldn't believe the stuff I'm doing right now to grab backlinks, but I guess that's what you do in any spare time, happy new years

 

Article submission that is great, maybe then i'll look into purchasing some links!

 

Prepare another press release and distribute it to more sites.

And sign up for as many fashion related forums as possible and leave your backlinks in ur forum sigs.
