Hi, When writing articles for the purpose of creating backlinks, should the article be related to your keyword? I'm confused...If backlinks come from articles not related to your keyword will google disregard them? If they are related to your keyword, will google weigh the backlink higher? This assumes you have a website or blog arleady created and you now want to start creating backlinks...in the case writing articles. newpatch
yep, if you force your keyword to be in the content it would easily trace as spam and might give negative points...make sure articles is related to your keyword or business.
Thanks for the replies...but then how does the google search engine know that the articles are for promoting your main blog or website. I mean, you're creating all these articles to serve as backlinks, and you are probably using your keywords in the articles. You may even have adsense ads in those articles. So how does the google search engine know that you want your main blog/website to rank in google? Won't it see those article and rank them instead? newpatch
When you write article for your website. 1) The article website is the 1st backlink for your website 2) The websites which copy the article from that "Articles Directory" is also the backlinks for your website. O.k So keep in mind these benefits.
Link is a link. Even if the keywords you have from an article is not related to your site niche, it will still have some weigh on search engines. But still, related links from high pr sites are still the best.
