Hi, When writing articles for the purpose of creating backlinks, should the article be related to your keyword? I'm confused...If backlinks come from articles not related to your keyword will google disregard them? If they are related to your keyword, will google weigh the backlink higher? This assumes you have a website or blog arleady created and you now want to start creating backlinks...in the case writing articles. newpatch
I don't think its that necessary if you are considering search engines. But it would be beneficial for you in terms os visitors. The people who would be reading that article will require some more information. So its better to write articles based on keywords which you will be providing in the resource box of articles.
First of all the article has to be good and its not necessary that you write an article keeping the keywords in mind. Sure the keywords are necessary, but then put them in such a way that no one realises that the article is written for some certain keyword. Remember content is the key and that should be unique and good..
google still going to crawl and count it as backlinks as long as it is in dofollow.. it doesn't what kw you anchor..
