Anyone having trouble with backlink checker tools? I have tried several different ones but they just don't work. Maybe something to do with updates? Are they upon us or is that a thing of the past? Thanks

SEOanalytics works fine for me . The best is to check Backlinks on yahoo/goolge manually .

    Which are you using?

I'm not saying these are the most accurate however Yahoo Site Explorer and backlinkwatch are easy and free.

This free backlink checker tool is very much accurate. It shows backlinks from yahoo as well as google. It also tells you which links are follow and nofollow.

Right, seoquake and seo4firefox are both nice add-on for Firefox to check backlinks. :)
Backlinkhunter and backlinkwatch are also nice sites for this purpose.

I use to use Yahoo site explorer but it was having some problem, i think it is fixed now and works fine.
Just type link:www.example.com in yahoo search and it would show you all backlinks.

Back link checker tools are unable to provide you with real time updates. use link:www.yourwebsite.com in google, yahoo or bing search box to get real time stats on number of sites linking to your blog.
