Backlink Checker for a Link Building Contest

Hi all,

I am working on putting together a Link Building contest for January 2008. Contestants be building links and I want your help on some ideas as to how I will be able to track how many backlinks each contestant has build.

Any suggestions?

There are several free websites you can use such as backlinkwatch.com and yahoo site explorer

 

i dont see how yahoo site explorer work for this case

 

it will need to check if the links exists based on a list of URL's... we can not depend on SE indexing for it

 

Have a look here. We have just finished the Beta 1.0 of our Link Checker. It is based on the Yahoo API, but shows PageRank, Anchor, Anchor type (Text,Image , or Image with Alt text), broken links, NoFollow and Robots.txt status and also the Total number of links on the donor page.
