Backlink building = site slips down SERPs!

When ever I do any backlink building for an aged domain, the url drops from page 1 and goes to mid page 3 on Google!

I use article marketing to build backlinks, any idea why this is happening?

 

Its just Google is looking for an place to put you..that's all...you will finally come back up..

 

I don't think building backlinks that get you drop in SERPs, except you spam too much and Google mark you as link spammer.

 

If Google were to find out you were a "Link Spammer", I'm sure they would either drop you down much more than 2 pages or just completely remove your site from the Search results.

 

make sure not to spam links and you should be fine!

 

Maybe all your articles have the same - or similar - anchor text? Are you just doing article writing - or have you got a natual mix of backlinks?

 

What article sites do you use? It should be no problem using high PR article sites like ezinearticles.

 

Sounds like the Google dance. Don't worry about the rankings for the day, continue building SOLID links (nothing low level, work on higher quality links) and you'll be fine.

 

I did not understand that my site backlinks are 44 and my competitors backlinks are 40 though also my site is down in the SERP? why?????
