People who own a dedicated server where do you store your backups of your server since the hard drive is like 100gb+ I don't really want to pay for backup storage.

Find a Atom server, these are perfect for backing up large amounts of data.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a cheaper backup solution, give jonesolutions.com a try. They offer R1soft backup solution starting at $15/month for 50GB.

    Hi,

I have one 1TB hard drive. I setup one Linux server at home. I make incremental backup every day accept last day at month then full backup. For linux server you don't need lates PC on market. You can use your older pc if you have one. You can use P4 or Celleron proccessor PC for setup backup server. One thing can be a problem if you buy big hard drive a hard drive controller on your main board. But you can buy one new controller card on ebay which will be god for new hdd. Just make surre to buy Linux compatible hard drive cobtroller card.

Incremental backups via NAS or VPN - SFTP.

Ask your provider if they can provide a cheap reliable backup solution. If you tell them you cannot afford much most can provide a discounted rate if you ask nicely.
