Backing up database + wordpress

    Hello, i dunno whether this is the proper forum, but since its related to something about database, i guess its ok.

    I installed wordpress into my blog and have made a few posts to it. The question is, besides backing up the entire database, should i make an individual copy of it. And if i should, what is the best way of going around it and what format should i save it as? And if i export my database, does it export my settings and all that or just the data? And can i access the data directly from the backed-up copy of the database?


    Any help much appreciated.
