Does anyone know a good way to remove backgrounds from photos?

I usually use the pen tool to do it on Photoshop to draw around the face, but its very very hard if its a woman with lots of fine hair and I need the fine hair detail.

I found a software which looked good but it doesn't seem to work on my computer.

    e.g.

That person has removed the original background and I need something like that.

For example in the photo below, its very very hard for me to use the pen tool on Photoshop to get most of the fine hairs:

Any tips or software which can do the job will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

In Photoshop, right click the eraser tool and you will be able to select the background eraser tool, I find this very useful.

I don't think you can save the fine hairs unless you go around them carefully with the eraser tool in photoshop

You can use an Extract tool in Photoshop to do the same task like the software that you mentioned.

clipping hairs is a very hard thing. I had to do it many times and never find any powerfil software. So i ad to use erasers, brushes ant etcetera. Digital pen with pressure will also help you.

You can try the background eraser tool,. (Click-and-hold on the eraser in Photoshop's tool pallet to choose this tool).

I have been developing software to do just that - at the click of a button
No drawing outlines and other such fiddling.
It's tough to do because the girls necklace and other parts of the image you want are actually the same colors as part of the back-ground.
But as usual it's difficult to find out if this is just something people want to do for free - or would be willing to pay for?
Maybe a few people can let me know if this is a project that is really worth completing?
