My regular design forum that I frequent is acting all weird so I thought I'd ask some of you for advice. I've been working on this piece for some time and I'm pretty stuck on what I should do with the background. Should I just use a dark gradient or something or just leave it black?

Any advice would be helpful, I've been stuck on this thing for awhile now.

Use a subtle gradient in the background. Choose your colors from the colors used in the render. Another bit of advise; perhaps you could tone down the contrast, as well. Check out www.DepthCore.com and look through their packages. You'll see a lot of abstract pieces like the one you're working on.

Really, I actually toned down the contrast, was going for a sort of washed out feel. And I love depthcore, some serious talent over there.
