background color for search code

    can i change the BACKGROUND COLOR of my search code from white to any other color to suit my blog color?

    That shouldn't be a problem, but because you need to change the code provided by Google, you should ask Google first asking for permission.

    You are not allowed to directly edit any of the AdSense codes.

    Even if you want to customize your "AdSense For Search." I wrote an article on a way around this...

    Editing the code is against TOS. You can only use Google's generator to customize... no tweaking it yourself. I haven't generated an AdSense for Search code in a while... so I'm not sure if they let you choose your own background yet.
