    Hello everyone,

I recently found a great plugin that you can schedule to backup your MySQl or your entire site automatically.

I have been using it for awhile and it is really nice. You can have the backups emailed to your or stored on your server or both. You can restore with one click if need be.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I think it is important for people to know how easy it is to keep your WP site backed up regularly.

I tried it before but moved back to manual backup since it spoiled after some time, leaving me a big security hole as told by my host.

A++ this is something I really need (since I own so many wordpress based blogs) but didn't think about searching for such a thing. :)

I'll give it a try. I'm using an online service to do my backup for me.

Yeah, in the past that is what I have always done. The trouble is that I have several blogs (and also manage several more for clients) and it becomes very time consuming to keep backups current. On some of the blogs content is added every day so I would be very busy at keeping everything backed up across the board.

This plugin doesnt have to be set on autopilot. On a few of the blogs are care for new content isnt added too often. I do not have it set to automatically do backups on those. Instead I click the "back up now" button whenever I want to update the backup files.

If you have only one blog and you do not add content every day or so then it would probably not be a problem to do your backups manually, but when you are as busy as I am you just dont have the time to keep up with all the backups as you should when doing them manually.

kentuckyslone, do you backup your MySQL DB with this only or do you use it for a complete backup?

I generally just use it to do MySQL backups. The remainder of the files dont change that often, template, images, etc.
