    I have heard Seo marketing crap ideas for years

    There is really only one way to go

    and that is the hard long road but it can be easy if you use your brain.

    here is a little check list for you

    1/ does your site have a sitemap?

    2/do you have any links into your site?

    3/have you added your site manually to google?

    if you havnt done the above there is no way anyone will find you.

    you want traffic you have to get out there and the more links you have the more times the spiders will find you and without a site map who knows what the hell they will look at.
    When I add a new site I always add too many Link dirs one dir for sure I always add google adds just to ping there server and I am listed with in 6 hours.
    A site map is very important make sure you have one I usually use a auto site map that is updated as files are added (hit me up I will give you the link)
    from there you have to find hard links and as many as you can then and only then will your site ranks

    you dont need to add your site to google, google even talks about aganst doing that in its webmasters guidelines and says its better to just get high quality links and let google find you

    I always love to see the phrase "back to basics", no matter what it's for. :D

    Although I don't agree with adding a site to Google manually because I believe search engines have a "Don't call us, we'll call you" mentality these days, the rest seems good.

    Well there does seem to be some people that think this.

    I use google webmaster tools inside my google account

    First of google asks you for a verify key to be added
    2. google asks for the site map address and within a few hours google has been to my website.

    If you dont agree its fine I am just telling you what works for me on this but do try it you may be suprised
